Camus Caribbean Expedition (Expedition to the Caribbean) is a unique cognac produced in a limited edition of only 4,500 bottles with double maturation in an oceanic and tropical climate.
At the end of 2018, Camos loaded a sailboat with ten barrels of cognac in its fourth year of aging. After a 45-day ocean voyage aboard the wind-powered ship (no fuel-powered engines) the ten barrels arrived at the port of Bridgetown, Barbados, in the Caribbean. There the barrels continued to mature for a year and a half under a tropical climate.
The aromas of the Caribbean consist of intense aromas of banana and pear, alongside flavors of cocoa beans, coffee and nutmeg. This is a pioneering and groundbreaking cognac both in its production process and in the final product. The cognac expresses unparalleled elegance and infinite depth that entices and intoxicates with every sip.
