Sherry Herring is a cherry liqueur from Denmark, produced since 1818. The liqueur is produced by fermenting cherries with their pits plus a number of herbs. The exact composition of the raw materials is kept a secret to this very day. The fermented juice then goes through high-quality boiler distillation, and is aged in oak barrels for a period of about 3 years. Cherry Hiring liqueur is considered the most famous cherry liqueur in the world, and it is sold in over 130 countries.
