The Double Cask series is aged in two types of oak barrels, the barrels are filled with dry Oloroso sherry wine and only then filled with McAllen's special distillate. American oak barrels give delicate flavors of vanilla, citrus and dried fruit.
On the nose rises a delicate aroma of rich rich fruits with hints of Calvados.
The feeling in the palate is of a full and round whiskey is quite full and round with a strong presence of bourbon.
The finish is medium with touches of dry oak.
