The Scottish McAllen Distillery McAllen 12 "Triple Cask" series is the distillery's new flagship series. The single malt in this series was aged in American and European oak barrels seasoned with Oloroso sherry wine, and in American oak barrels used to age bourbon. The meticulous composition of the barrels gives the McAllen 12 triple cask a smooth texture and delicate character. The McLean 12 has aromas of vanilla, melon and lemon zest, balanced flavors of citrus, vanilla, nutmeg and toasted oak, and a long, lasting finish with notes of melon and papaya.
