" Faculty Wines " was founded in 1787 by Jacob-Hirsch Segal in Bobroisk, White Russia. In 1925, the first distillery was founded in Israel, and with the establishment of the state, the Segal family established a winery specializing in wine production. The first grapes came from the Ashkelon area, and over the years vineyards were added in the Ayalon Valley and other areas in the center of the country.
