Tomintol Pitty Tang ("spiciness of peat") is produced from pure and fine materials grown in a natural environment in the Glenlivet Valley in the Speyside area and as a single malt typical of the Tomintol distillery, it is endowed with a soft and delicate character. The Petey Tang contains malted barley and smoked peat that give it a deep smoky flavor, which is well balanced with sweet notes and creates a surprisingly complex whiskey.
Tomintol Petey Tang is one of the smoky expressions of the distillery which was launched in 2007, and the translation of its name is "with a hint of smoke". To say "hint" is a bit of an understatement,
Petey Tang is definitely a smoky whiskey, unequivocally. Compared to the heavily smoky version of Tomintol , the Old Balantroan, the Petey Tang is indeed less smoky.
Tomintol Pitty Tang has a rich golden color, aromas of peat smoke and fruit, a dominant taste of peat balanced with nutty notes and fruity sweetness,
As you would expect from a whiskey from the Speyside region. The finish presents smoky and persistent peat notes, alongside a sweet touch that makes it balanced and excellent.
