The story of the J&B begins in 1749, and in London comes an Italian wine merchant named Giacomo Giustini. Giacomo comes in the wake of his love for the singer of Opera England. Among other things, he brings with him prescriptions for alcoholic beverages that his uncle has learned.
Justini is setting up a London liquor business with a man named Johnson. In 1760, Giacomo returned to Italy and in 1831 the business was sold to Appellard Brooks, one of the richest in London.
Brooks changes the name of the company but leaves the J - in memory of Giustini and so the company name was created: J&B.
More than 40 types of whiskey and the Scottish Spice area, led by the Knockando, are mixed.
Each whiskey goes through a minimum of 3 years and then at least another 6 months in wooden containers.
G & B is a balanced blended Scotch and soft relative to other Scotch whiskeys.
