From their beginnings, the brothers would be synonymous with quality and prestige. In 1801, the brothers opened their gourmet food store in Aberdeen, Scotland. They provided luxury food and drinks from around the world to the European elite. Soon, the brothers and especially the whiskey malts they offered became something. When Queen Victoria first visited Scotland she ordered many products from their food store. In 1843, the Queen's brothers received a royal order instructing them to supply her with products, becoming the main suppliers of the royal house. In 1850, they met their demanding customers and created Royal Glen Dee, their first Scotch Scotch whiskey. The two mingled between Single Malt and Soft Grain Whiskey, creating a balanced and smooth mix. In 1909, the brothers launched Shivas Rigal for 25 years, the world's first luxury whiskey. Over the years, the company has released classics, such as Shivas Rigal 12 and Shivas Rigal 18, which have gained worldwide success, especially in the American jet class.
