The raw material of Vodka Finlandia is a 6-grain barley. 3
A small percentage of the water applied to Finland Vodka comes from the Arctic, and the rest comes from Finland itself from the village of Rajamaki where the distillery is located.
Adjacent to the distillery is a lake (one of 180,000 lakes in Finland) that covers hundreds of acres of woodland. The whole area, about 2,000 hectares, belongs to Finlandia, the goal is to make the water as clean as possible.
The water, which does not touch a human hand, goes through a natural filtration process through the rocks and clumps of land that have been in the area for thousands of years, some of which drain underground. Some of this water has not seen sunlight for centuries.
