After visiting a Canadian winery that produces an extremely sweet frozen wine (wine made from grapes harvested at night at a temperature of minus 10 degrees!), Glenfiddich's malt master decided to do a unique experiment in his playground in Scotland. Aging whiskey in barrels that once housed frozen wine! The whiskey chosen for this experiment has been aged for at least 21 years, so that the tannins it has accumulated over the years will help it cope with the load of sweetness of the wine barrels.
