Balvini 12 Double Wood Single Malt Whiskey (unblended) from the Speyside region of Scotland. After aging for 12 years, the drink undergoes an additional aging process ("finish") in barrels where Spanish Aloroso sherry was previously aged. The unique production and finishing processes give the whiskey an aroma and rich, sweet and delicate flavors of vanilla and honey. Thanks to them, Belvini Double Hood is considered a groundbreaking whiskey in its aging method, and quite a few manufacturers of well-known whiskey brands have begun to imitate its production method.
Balviny Distillery was established in 1892 by William Grant, the owner of Glenfiddich Distillery and quickly became a household name in the whiskey world. To this day, Balvini's single malts are considered the best in the world and many of them have won medals and prizes.
